The Connected Couple
A Weekend Workshop with
VICKIE FALCONE, M.A. AND PAUL BABIN, M.A.
Soul-Centered Relationship Coaches
Have you ever wondered…
Why is my relationship such a struggle?Â
Is it possible to have a conversation without it turning into an argument?
Am I ever going to feel appreciated?Â
Will my partner ever be able to just listen to me?

Â
What you will learn:
- New positive communications skills
- How to hear and be heard
- A way to release judgments of yourself and your partner
- The powerful practice that ends blame
- How to create deeper connection and intimacy
Who this is for:
- Newly-engaged, married, straight, and gay couples
- Couples who are just starting out
- Couples who have been together for many years
- Couples who want to deepen their connection
This is not another course where you take a bunch of notes, get some intellectual theory, go home and nothing changes in your life.
We will uncover the patterns that have held you back … you will let go of those that no longer serve you.
This is a life-changing experience. You will not emerge the same as you went into it. This is our promise.

“In forty years of couples’ therapy, 80% of the couples didn’t need therapy, they needed skills and tools.”

Our Stories (the juicy stuff):

We both:
…came from alcoholic homes where we learned to abandon ourselves early in life.
…came from first marriages where we did not understand what it took to create real intimacy with our partner.
…healed our wounds and created a deeply fulfilling relationship with each other and with our Higher Power.
VICKIE: In my first marriage I had a habit of blaming and criticizing my husband. Then wondered why I didn’t have the intimacy I wanted. It was a long road of learning and healing, but I committed to learning the skills to create the intimacy I so longed for.
I had the huge honor of being coached by best-selling author Gay Hendricks, Ph.D. who wrote the book, Conscious Loving. I then embarked on a profound journey of healing at the University of Santa Monica where I earned my Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology. It was here that I started my sacred journey of reclaiming my True Self. I also studied and am greatly influenced by the work of Pia Mellody who authored many books on 12 step recovery.
Over time I learned how to stop abandoning myself and what to do instead of criticize my partner.
PAUL: In my first marriage, I was not very good at listening. When my wife came to me with a problem or complaint, it wasn’t long before I stopped hearing her. If it was a complaint about another person or a work situation, I would quickly go to “fix it” mode. If her complaint was about me, I’d get defensive, criticize her, or plan the quickest escape possible. By the end of that marriage, my defenses were up all the time making real intimacy impossible. When it ended, I knew I had work to do.
I restarted therapy and 12 Step program; devoured the work of Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, and Dr. Margaret Paul’s Inner Bonding. I earned my Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology and, with Vickie, did another year of study to become a Soul-Centered, Certified Life Coach, which I’ve practiced since 2015.
I've learned how to listen to my partner—to be fully present even when she’s upset.
Vickie and I both learned how to let the other person be who they are without penalty.
I’m in love in a way I didn’t know existed. We both feel deeply loved and appreciated; and that continues to grow—and surprise me.
It's a real pleasure to share the tools and practices we use to create peace inside ourselves and grow our loving relationship with each other.
